Four utilities and a concrete lane

The published site needs for SUNRISE are a concrete lane, an electrical supply, water and compressed air. A site that includes chassis wash also needs a reinforced concrete substructure under the entrance nozzles.

The gantry travels on fixed floor rails with a 400 cm gauge, so the lane has to be long enough for the longest vehicle plus the machine's travel at each end. Driver guide pipes, 3 inches in diameter, are fixed to the same concrete floor.

A gantry carrying side and top brushes runs on two rails along the bay, travelling forward and back over the parked truck. A control cabinet sits outside the bay wall. Power, water recovery and climate are quoted per site

The figures above are for the standard build. Add optional equipment, water recovery or a cold-weather package and the installed power and water requirement change; Europe Makine quotes those for each site.

Electricity use on the standard build is 0.12 to 0.15 kWh per vehicle. Installed power with optional equipment is published as 50 / 75 kW on the heavy vehicle class page.

What to send for a quotation

  1. Depot layout

A drawing or sketch of the yard and the proposed wash lane.

  2. Vehicles washed per day

How many trucks, trailers and other vehicles go through the wash each day.

  3. Tallest vehicle

This chooses between the W4000 at 420 cm and the W4700 at 470 cm.

  4. Widest vehicle

Both models wash up to 285 cm wide, measured across the body of the widest truck or trailer in the fleet.

Delivery, installation and service

Every SUNRISE machine ships door to door, and Europe Makine installs it at no charge. The machine carries a 12-month warranty. On handover the gantry runs under PLC control with an automatic program for each vehicle type in the fleet, and the operator can switch to manual control.

After handover, service comes from the plant at 6741 S Military Trl, Greenacres, Florida, where Europe Makine keeps its service technicians and spare parts stock. Optional accessories can be added later without taking extra floor space.

Specifications that change for the site

Europe Makine is a manufacturer, not an importer. Each gantry is built in its own 1,500 m² facility, and specifications can be changed for a site. The standard frame is A1 grade DKP steel with electrostatic powder coating, and hot-dip galvanization is available as an option.

The published water requirement for optional equipment is 250 lt/min, against 70-80 lt/min for the standard build. Plan the supply line for the higher figure if options may be added later; optional components can be fitted after installation without taking extra floor space.
